This is a closeup photo of a few flowers that I took. I chose to take this photo because the bright purple and yellow flowers stand out against the dull brown darkish mud and green leaves.
This is a similar closeup photo I took of a bunch of leaves. I took this photo because the leaves are a bright green and they also stand out against the dull muddy background.

This is a closeup photo of a flame from a bunsen burner. The bright orange and yellow colours stand out really well against the darkened background. It also does not follow the rule of thirds as it is slightly to the right of the frame.
This photo is of a close up of one side of a tree trunk. It does not follow the rule of thirds because it is to the left of the frame. I chose to take this photo because you can clearly see the detail of the bark on the tree and it stands out really well compared to the trees in the background.
This is a similar photo to the last one because it does not follow the rule of thirds as the wall is on the left of the frame. The wall on the left is a bit burred which makes you focus on the HD part of the photo which is in the center and to the right of the frame, which is the graffiti and the pathway.

This is a photo of a corridor in the science blocks in my school. I took this picture and used it because of its lines. There are lines which separate the floor to the walls and the walls to the ceiling

This photo was taken on the 19th of July 2011 by Salil Bera in West Bengal, India. The photo is of a leopard attacking a forest warden after escaping from the Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary, in West Bengal, India. I like this photo because the leopard is pouncing on him over the wall and it looks cool how it was taken at the exact time it was jumping on to him.

This photo was taken on the 29th of March 2010 by Carsten Peter in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, Vietnam. The photo is what people believe to be the largest cave on Earth. I like this photo because of the uniqueness the cave.

This photo was taken on the 28th of May 2011 by Henrik Brunnsgard in Skara, Sweden. The photo is of a base jumper diving off of a 150 meter tall wind turbine. I like this photo because of the angle of the picture so you can see the guy falling from above.

This photo was taken on the 22nd July 2011 by Niclas Hammarstrom in Utoya, Norway. The photo is of police helicopters circling Utoya island searching for a gunman who is firing at youths at a summer camp. I like this picture because I like how it shows the size comparison of the helicopters to the island and how hard it would be to find this man.
